I’m sure that by now you have all heard that Paris Hilton has been released from jail after serving only 3 days of her 23 day jail sentence. This is after it was reduced from 45 days due to “good behaviour”… before she even started her sentence!

The report cites “health reasons” for her early release. Surely the normal practice is to have her checked out and once given a clean bill of health she would have to resume her sentence? Surely? I’m sure Schabir Shaik could learn a thing or two from her; he spent a long time in a private hospital trying to avoid jail time, but he was finally told to stop fucking around and is now happily in jail.

What does this say about the American justice system? That no matter what you do, if you have enough money, you can get away with it? This entire affair is a complete farce, with the media eating up every part of it like ravenous dogs. Reports say that she was also seen walking around with a bible prior to her sentence. Nothing like impending jail time to help you find God, once again take a look at Schabir Shaik.

Paris has instead been placed under house arrest for the remainder of her sentence and has been electronically tagged. The good news is that we won’t have to see her fucking face in the media for the next 19 or so days. Yay!

I was also quite peeved. I think the problem was likely psychological and brought on by the jail experience. I’d assume, she was physically healthy before entering the prison. Probably cried and drove herself into a panic, had a psychotic episode or something. Who knows… they’ll never tell.

Ya, house arrest on her 4 acre estate, what a fucking punishment! I think the judge must have forgotten that the point of the punishment is to save lives. I mean, what if she drives drunk again and accidentally kills someone? It’s going to be on that judge’s conscience.

Anyway… I’m so tired of the whole fiasco. She hasn’t earned her status as a celebrated person (remember that this is the idea behind ‘celebrity’). I think the entire world should ignore her and maybe it will make her disppear Mab-like into the fog. Now… who’s keen to play Merlin? :)

btw good news for you all. Paris is likely to go back to jail.
She was released without the Judges permission. The sheriff that put her under house arrest is being charge with court contempt.. In fact the judge is pretty pissed off..
So Paris will be going back to jail v.soon!

Saw Nicole Ritchie on Letterman last night… Dave asked her why so many young Hollywood stars (Paris, Lindsay Lohan, herself) were getting in trouble. She replied: “…it’s not just Hollywood - everyone goes to jail!”

    Bright girl, obviously.

*sigh* Why is Letterman wasting his breathe and time on Nicole Ritchie?
