So, you must be wondering how it is possible to write an article on “How anyone can remove most virus’ in 3 steps”?
Well its simple, since most viruses act and behave the same way, there choice of destruction might differ, but deep down in the depths of there little virus soul they are all the same, and that is of course “One big pain in the ass!”. Of course you get the really bad ass viruses, like the ‘die hard’ virus that stores itself on your bios chip and can only be removed by bios flashing or placing your bios chip in a fridge/freezer(for the days before bios flashing)! But for the common spyware and virus, removal is easy, well easy as long as you have all the correct tools and make sure they aren’t corrupted.
Here is a quick run down of what a virus does. It’s basically going to infect some kind of system file or infect your registry and create a new type of system file. With that file running in the background it starts to take control off your pc. ie, not allowing anti-virus programs to start up or update, disabling the internet, or just simply shutting down the pc every time you try and run an app. So to stop this you need to kill/block this controling file/process. The question is, how do you stop a process that controls the process that is trying to stop that process? (Higher grade logic ><) Well thankfully I have just the tools.
First off there is Task Man“.Task Man is a lovely program coded by the guys at antivoid.Task Man lets you control, stop, block any process’ running on your system.
Secondly there is the Anti-virus program. I use PC-Cillin. Mainly because with this evaluation version you get one free update. So you can install update and clean your pc.
Thirdly there is Killbox. Killbox is a tool that deletes files that can’t be deleted. (thats right you get those kind of files).
If you have spyware, use this free spyware killer Spy Bot.
So now for the steps… Well these are the easy the steps 1..2…3
1) Run Task Man and Kill all the process’ that don’t look normal or you think you won’t need. If the process comes up again after you have killed it and your pc hasn’t given an error of some kind. Block that process. Does this for most of the process’. Try and avoid killing winlogon.exe and services.exe
2) Once you have all the process blocked that can be blocked safely, install PC-Cillin. Let it scan and clean your pc. (you can also install and run spybot at this point for spyware)
3) Your virus program might inform you that there are files that can’t be deleted. If this is the case, run killbox and add them. Once you restart the files will be deleted.
If your pc is still infected after these steps please don’t hesitate to come and ask us. If all else fails, take it to a computer places and let them try. My advice would be to take it to a specialized virus removing company, as most normal shops will attempt the steps listed above.

Very good advice UL.
I know that it can be a bit daunting for anyone who is not familiar with ending processes to use task manager. This link from AnswersThatWork http://www.answersthatwork.com/Tasklist_pages/tasklist.htm will help you decide which programs are safe to terminate.
Simply click on the letter of the alphabet that corresponds to the program in question and it will bring up a list of task manger programs. It is really handy in that it explains what the process is and whether it’s safe to terminate.
Hope this helps.
